plays, parks, shopping...what else?
London has been such a blast! I've loved getting to know my way around and just seeing what's out there! I already feel adjusted and am starting to figure it all out. In the last few days I've spent time going to different plays, musicals, shopping on Oxford street, visiting monuments, parks, and cathedrals. Luckily enough its been such great weather...only one day of rain, and I loved using my pink umbrella. I can't complain, London has been good to me so far!

LONDON TOWN
This is how the day started...7 am got off the plane, took the Gatwick express, got off at Victoria, hopped on the TUBE and that's where the problem began. I quickly learned that London doesn't believe in elevators...or escalators. So imagine me with 2 bags of luggage, one backpack, and purse walking up and down multiples of stairs. Half of me almost cried, but the other half of me was laughing too hard to let out a tear. After and 1 hr and 45 min Amber and I finally made it to 27 Palace court...

and here it is...

Palace Court Street

I was put in dorm 3 so I have 13 other roommates!

After unpacking and getting acquainted with the place, a few girls and I decided to go and explore the neighborhood. It was really fun just to talk and get to know one another and to see where we would be living for the next few months. We are right by Hyde park and there are several tube stops very close. Later in the evening we went to Buckingham Palace, and ended up walking over to see Big Ben and the London Eye.
Of course I had to take a picture at a telephone booth!

The day was great, and I'm so happy to finally be here! Its been a long wait, and now that I'm here it feels surreal. I can't quite grasp what London feels like. I don't feel like I'm in a foreign country but its different then anywhere I've ever been. Can't wait to see what this week brings!
