Out on the Town

On saturday night, after the loongest day of our lives, we took a walk along the Thames. So worth it. We began at the Tower of London, walked across the Tower Bridge, then back across the London Bridge, and ended up right by the globe, just in time for a beautiful sunset! It was a perfect ending to a perfect day.

Markets, markets, and more markets!

Saturdays in London are exciting. No one works, and the city goes out and about running errands, taking walks, but most importantly market shopping! We woke up bright and early and headed to Borough Market...I loved it. There were samples galore and the food was simply the best! Just take a look at some of the fun treats we tried!
This picture is for Courtney...she and I are obsessed with Trader Joe's Meringues....these were
incredible!

Turkish Delight...not my favorite but it looks fun!

Dear Mom and Melissa: I think they may have passed up "O" olive oil, just a little, but you'd love to taste these!
This was my boyfriend for the day...he worked at the chocolate covered "anything" stand (see
below) and gave me and my friends sooo many samples. We loved it, and he asked if we could take a picture
together, I didn't get that one, but he asked me to take a picture of him so I wouldn't forget him! ha
These next pictures were at Portobello Road, near our house. It was much more "touristy"
and unfortunately I don't have many pictures. Nonetheless, it was still so fun. I got an awesome
leather jacket for 10 lbs! They also had the most mouth watering nutella and
strawberry crepes that I must go back and try!
Cute Portobello Road
Can't wait till next week!

covent gardens

Earlier in the week we took  one of our "walks" to Covent Gardens. One of my classes while here is based on different walks that take us through and around London and get us familiar to the things that are just around us! Its been the greatest thing. I personally love the walks, probably because I learn so much on them, and we get to see little areas or unique places that I would never know about! One of my favorite walks so far was the one that took us to this cute place! We spent a few hours strolling around, shopping in boutiques and at the street vendors, and of course eating! Its simply adorable.
Doesn't this cake look amazing??
Recognize it? This is where the famous "flower girl" scene from My Fair Lady was filmed!
Candy Cakes...oh how I love you so, I would eat you every day if I could!

We wanted to eat at a traditional pub while here, and we found the perfect one, little ceilings and all! I decided to hold out for the "paela" (from spain) that was being sold by a street vendor. It was divine!
Just one of my many favorites so far! I find myself saying "today was a great day in London" but truthfully, I've said it nearly everyday, and can't see myself not saying it! Lovin LONDON!

No Big Deal

No Big Deal...we went and saw Westminster Abbey, I took pages of notes from my tour because I was obsessed. I wish I could've taken pictures inside, but unfortunately it wasn't allowed. Here is what there is!

Stain Glass in the "cloisters"

No Big Deal...we went to Parliament, and got to go inside, once again no inside pics!
My visitor pass...picture and all!

No Big Deal...we went to the T-Mobile commercial shooting at Trafalgar Square-SO many people. They were doing giant karaoke and filming it on the jumbo tron.
I ended up getting interviewed for the London News and then guess who pops up out of the crowd while we were singing her song "piece of my heart"...PINK!!!! We loved it

OXFORD ST.

I officially love London...partially because of this street. Oxford St. which continues into Regent St. The shopping is fabulous, and I've been there way too many times for one week.

FerrariHameley's! we were little kids all over again :)
Picadilly Circus...times square of london
Favorite part...the double decker bus, front seat!Too much shopping! So little time...and so little funds!
